How This Journey Began
From a young age, I felt a natural connection with animals. It often seemed as though they could speak in ways beyond words—through presence, emotion, and energy. Being near them always felt like home.
When I became certified in Reiki, it felt only natural to share it first with my sweet Bella. She responded so openly and lovingly that I knew something deeper was unfolding. Through her quiet guidance, I began to understand that animals not only receive Reiki—they often teach us through it.
As I continued learning and expanded my work beyond Bella and my cats, the real magic began to happen.
New opportunities opened through Farmer Debbie, a steadfast supporter and source of strength who welcomed me as the Animal Reiki Practitioner at her farm. Because of her trust and encouragement, I was able to work with horses, goats, sheep, alpacas, pigs, and many other beautiful animals—each one becoming a teacher in their own way.
Through those experiences, I learned that no two animals are alike. Some came close immediately. Others observed from a distance. Some asked for more. Some simply wanted presence.
That is when I truly understood: the most meaningful healing happens when animals are given full choice, full space, and full control.
Some souls arrive as animals — and change our lives forever.
Bella
Bella was my beloved Cocker Spaniel and heart companion for 18 beautiful years.
The moment I met her, I knew we were meant for one another. It was a connection I couldn’t fully explain at the time—but one I understand deeply now.
She came into my life as a teacher—bringing comfort, joy, and unconditional love.
Bella was the first animal I ever shared Reiki with, and through her openness I began to witness how deeply animals respond to calm presence, energy, and intention.
She gently guided me toward this path during her life beside me, and she continues to guide it still.
Although Bella crossed the rainbow bridge in May of 2024, her presence remains woven through every session, every page, and every offering I create.
Animal Reiki with Kim began with Bella—and her love continues to guide every part of this work.
